Dental Impression Required:

If you would like to have custom f/x dentures made, you will need to make an appointment with your dentist for a quick dental impression. The cost is inexpensive and the procedure only takes a few minutes - and there is little to no pain involved. Once you have a positive impression of your mouth (teeth, gumlines and roof of your mouth) you can mail your positive mold to us and we'll take care of the rest.

NOTE: If you are in the San Francisco Bay Area, you can call the office (415.508.4225) to see if any available appointments are possible for an f/x Dental Impression with Steve Johnston and/or his staff. Given the busy time of the Halloween Season, impression appointments may not be available, please also consult with your local dentist.

Be sure to tell your dentist that the dental impression must include your teeth, gums and the roof of your mouth for Upper Dentures and teeth, gums and lower palate for Lower Dentures. We prefer stone positives to be made of Hydracal or Golden Pemstone and should be cleaned of all air bubbles and irregularities BEFORE mailing to our creation lab.

You only need the upper (top) of your mouth molded into a dental impression if you are only ordering an upper denture. We DO NOT need the lower impression so save your time and money and only get an upper impression. If you are having only lowers or both upper and lower dentures made, then we will need a lower impression.

If you would like to have more than one type of dentures or more than one set of the same style of dentures, you must send a separate dental impression for each set or different style that you would like. For example, if you are ordering one set of Classic Dracula and one set of Nosferatu then you would need to have two separate dental impressions taken of your upper mouth and mailed to us.

Mailing your positive Dental Impression:

Package your stone positive carefully. Do not use a rubber band to hold upper and lower impressions together or apply any other force to the stones for shipment - they will break. Wrap them completely and separately in bubble wrap and further pack with a shipping medium. You will not get your stone impression back as the creation process destroys the impression. If you are only having top teeth dentures made, then you only need to have an upper impression done - we do not need your lower teeth and jaw line unless you are having lower dentures made. We will contact you with mailing instructions and the mailing address upon verification of your order and the receipt of payment.

Things to Note:

• Package your stone positive carefully.
• You will not get your stone impression back as the creation process destroys the impression.
• If you are only having top teeth dentures made, then you only need to have an upper impression done - we do not need your lower teeth and jaw line unless you are having lower dentures made.
• You must have your existing teeth with no braces or wires to have a costume denture made. Please do not contact us and ask if we can make you a full set of upper or lower dentures to replace your permanent functional dentures - we are not dentists and will not respond to these requests.
• We will not manufacture dentures with metal implants, spikes or make them sharp enough to break skin - so don't ask.
